Mercedes-Benz introduced their W123 based coupes for the 1978 model year. Known by their chassis code C123, these coupes were produced with gasoline or diesel engines. C123 cars are given the designator 'C,' to their model name. Variants produced include the 230C, 230CE, 280C , 280CE, 300CD, and the 300CD Turbodiesel.
