Last week my family and I took my mother for her 85th birthday and we were all really looking forward to it as we have been for lunch on a number of occasions over the years and really enjoyed it but after last week I doubt we would go back.

Horton Grange is a lovely venue for afternoon tea. I joined friends in the sitting room yesterday where we sat at a fabulous table next to the open fire and enjoyed a lovely, long catch up. The staff were very pleasant, most attentive and didn't rush us. Talking so much, the refills of tea and coffee across the afternoon were most welcome!

Very comfortable sofa, beautiful room and excellent service from the equally excellent staff. the room overlooked a garden, which even in winter, was nice. All added to making it a lovely day.
